Safiya Zerrougui is a cartoonist, character designer, and illustrator based in Montreal, Quebec. Her work pulls inspiration from her Kabyle heritage, fashion history, bold colors, and intricate patterns.
Her original Graphic Novel, HENNA FOR THE JINN is set to be published by First Second in 2026. She’s also taught a course on Graphic Novels pitching at Warrior Art Camp.
She’s worked with Netflix, Disney TVA, Spin Master Entertainment, and HBO max as a character designer, visdev artist and costume designer.
